Ruan Jia Speed Painting

Ruan Jia an artist I discovered on CGhub. Really liked the emotion on this piece and the abstract use of color. This sloppy copy took about 2 hours, but I learned a lot from the exercise.

I'm a USU Graphic Design student, and I've long been an admirer of your blog; it's been very impressive and inspiring to me. I've got a random request, for you. Would you be willing to answer some questions for me about animation and your career? I am interviewing people that I feel have insight or experience that I can use for an assignment before I go on a Swiss study abroad trip in about a week. It shouldn't take longer than 20 minutes of your time. If you could, email me at jess.marie.brown@aggiemail.usu.edu and I'll send you the questions. Thank you!

I love his work. Good piece to work from. Did you see his huge 2009 dump?
