Ghosts in the Darkness...SCARY!! This was another value/arcitectual study. I played around with the atmospheric perspective and the overall mood by darkening and boosting the contrast considerably to get that eerie feeling seen in some of those late 19th century landscapes done in black and white. Here's two variations and a colorversion in progress let me know which one you like better

the two ghostly characters made me think of edgar alan poe's short story "The House of Usher"... nice job! this painting really catches one's attention.
